This event has been constituted as a privileged space to discuss the current state of the art and to raise questions about dengue aimed at improving the prevention and control of this disease. Currently, the diversity observed in the epidemiological pattern of this virus in different urban areas, especially as regards its magnitude, by age and immune status of populations, along with the perspective of availability in the medium term, of vaccines for the prevention become more timely achievement of this Forum.
